1 – A new generation motion detector

Sensor-1 was invented by the company Metasensor. She wanted to create a new generation Bluetooth motion detector, powerful and the size of a macaroon.

Sensor-1 is designed to send you an instant alert whenever someone moves the object to which it is attached. Currently in the process of pre-ordering on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo, the CEO of Metasensor, Nick Warren, thinks he will be able to dispatch orders from this crowdfunding campaign this year.

The simplest configuration for this detector is a simple alert. To do this, just stick Sensor-1 on your laptop or bike and you will receive an alert every time someone moves it. A control panel allows you to adjust the sensitivity so as not to be disturbed at the slightest breath of wind. The open API also allows direct communication with other devices, via Bluetooth, to allow the creation of many uses. If your bike is locked outside your apartment, motion detection can trigger recording via your Nest Cam or send a message to your smartlock to close your front door.

Nick Warren realized the need for a device like Sensor-1 after his office was burgled overnight. If he had had a device like his motion detector, he could have been alerted and stopped or minimized the burglary. As the name suggests, sensors are the most important part of this product. The device has three main sensors: an accelerometer, a gyroscopic stabilizer, and a magnetometer. These sensors have improved significantly in recent years; especially thanks to the manufacturers of smartphones.
