The Dresden start-up Caterna Vision uses the online therapy platform Caterna to move the vision school into their own four walls. The Hamburg-based start-up smart health connected Health has developed a health app that allows patients to have the most important health data in their pocket at all times. With the Lifetime app, medical documents and smart health data are exchanged locally between patient smartphone and doctor. The special thing about it: No internet is required for data transmission. LifeTime consists of a small piece of hardware called LifeHub, which works for every doctor regardless of the system via Plug’n Play and a clear app for the common platforms. All the patient has to do is hold their smartphone close to the LifeHub. Data can then be transferred in both directions. The patient can thus guarantee his doctor access to all information relevant to the treatment in order to ensure the best treatment.

Patientus

The Lübeck start-up Patientus offers an online ehealth consultation for doctors and patients. Her idea: to enable a ehealth conference between doctor and patient that is easy to integrate into everyday life, is based on a secure connection and can be used from all devices without additional software.

In the end, the decision was made to use a browser-based solution. The conversation participants make an appointment and then communicate via ehealth chat via a separately opened browser window. In addition to informational meetings, doctors can also offer existing patient consultations for follow-up and a second opinion consultation for the assessment of a second specialist.

The Viennese start-up My Sugr relies on a combination of gamification, motivation and well thought-out product design. With the My Sugr Apps, diabetes can be better managed. The app works like a modern diabetes diary – colorful, with cheeky language and a monster that leads through the app. It can be synchronized with the blood glucose meter so that the data is automatically transferred and there is no need to type it in continuously. Mawendo offers doctors and physiotherapists the opportunity to expand their range of services by offering their patients individual training plans. The training plans were developed together with a team of experts working in a sports clinic and an Olympic base.

BetterDoc

It is often difficult and time-consuming to find the right specialist. The online portal BetterDoc from Cologne wants to help users find the right doctor on the web.
