2 new luxury smartwatches

Watchmaker Frédérique Constant presents two new versions of its Horological Smarwatch watch. The first is an update of the men's smart health connected watch, while the second is for women. From now on, the accessory will be known as "Notify".

The female model is offered in a 34 millimeter case, and offers, like the original model, a two-year autonomy. Likewise, just like Frédérique Constant's first smartwatch, this accessory measures activity, the number of steps taken during the day, the distance traveled and the amount of calories burned.

Notify, a real analog activity tracker

The watch also tells the user if it has been inactive for too long. The latter will thus motivated to get up to go to workout, and will receive many tips to improve his daily activity and achieve his sleep goals. Sleep is also followed.

However, only time and data are visible on the analog screen of the smartwatch. The detailed information and analyzes should be viewed from the companion smartphone app. Note that the time is synchronized with that of the phone and will automatically adjust when the time zone changes.

An ingenious notification system

Unlike the first FC smartwatch, this new model nevertheless sends notifications directly to the watch thanks to an ingenious system. The markers 2, 4, 8 and 10 on the dial represent calls, sleep, activity and messages respectively. Small icons make it possible to retain this correspondence.

By pressing the crown, the hands move and automatically indicate the statistics by pointing the numbers on the dial. Notifications will also be indicated by a slight vibration.

The new Notify watch for women will be marketed from mid-November 2020. In total, more than 5 versions will be offered. The prices start at around 680 €, and climb up to 1170 € for the model in pink gold and diamond.

An update of the smartwatch for men

In parallel, Frédérique Constant also offers a new version of its men's watch, also available in 5 different models. The sub-dial on the first watch has disappeared, and the information is now communicated by the main hands, just like in the women's edition.

These new watches are offered in a 42-millimeter dial, and we find all the features set out for the women's version. Here again, the price is between 720 euros and 900 euros for the gold-plated version.

These two watches are expensive, but it is necessary for Frédérique Constant to remain in a relatively high-end position in order not to lose credibility. Despite a high price, the Notify remains much cheaper than watches like the new Tag Heuer smart health connected in pink gold offered for more than 9000 dollars for example.
