5 rules of hygiene life to gain 30 years of healthy life

This recent study from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health in the USA pushes the doors open to integrative anti-aging: 5 habits in your lifestyle can lengthen the healthy life span up to (statistically) 3 decades of life.

This is an extension of a 2018 study. It was still conducted for 34 years out of 73,196 women and for 28 years on 38,366 men.

It is simply:

  1. to eat healthy

  2. keep a “reasonable” weight

  3. do 30 minutes of daily exercise

  4. not to smoke

  5. not to drink more than one glass of alcohol a day

Even if we expected good results, here, those who respected at least 4 of the 5 rules of life managed to live 3 decades longer than the others. in good health (on average 34.4 years older for women and 31.1 years older for men).

Understand that this is about thirty more years of life without diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular or neurodegenerative diseases… and not from a gain in longevity of 30 more years of life.

Nevertheless, these results are more than significant and go in the direction of all that is exposed on this site. Here, we are looking to stay in shape and in full possession of your abilities, as long and as naturally as possible above all. Far from us the idea of a multi-centennial life.

Regarding sleep, the researchers point out that it was not taken into account in the study but that it is obvious that it is part of the basic habits promoting longevity and health.
