a new smart health smart health connected object for sleep

Hello has just launched its Kickstarter campaign for its "Sense" sphere, which captures your sleep cycles and what's going on around you.

To see the Sense go into production, the campaign will have to reach $ 100,000 and it's off to a very good start.

Sense is able to detect temperature, brightness, movement, humidity, noise and particles (pollen or dust). A small sensor called Sleep pill will clip onto your pillowcase to detect your movements at night. It’s pretty practical and less bulky than a bracelet or a band placed under the mattress.

Sleep pill

The Sense and the Sleep Pill are smart health connected to your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.

When you wake up, you will see in the application a night events timeline (noises, movements, etc.). You can even go so far as to listen to what happened at night as the Sense records the sounds. The application will be able to detect the difference between snoring and unusual noise. It’s important to note that, even if it’s still on, the microphone only records unusual noises, and that’s good for your privacy.

The sphere contains an LED which can display several colors depending on its actions. A small green light before falling asleep, yellow or orange if there is something to check, such as the presence of dust or a light that is not conducive to falling asleep.

An intelligent alarm clock and personalized advice

Like the Jawbone UP24, the Sense app will give you advice over time. For example, it can tell you that you sleep better on the days when you go to bed before 11:30 p.m., or when the room is at a certain temperature. The Sense can even detect if you have mild sleep apnea.

As on the Jawbone UP, an intelligent alarm is present, and will wake you up at the end of a REM cycle, even if it’s 20 minutes before you have to get up.

The first deliveries will take place in the last quarter of the year and on sale price (excluding Kickstarter) will be $ 129. The Sense will be available in two colors: black and white. It therefore places itself below its competitors, the Withings Aura and the Misfit Beddit.

We just ordered, so the Sense will be tested on Stuffi at the end of the year.
