A Pebble smartwatch with a color screen?

Will the next Pebble smartwatch have a color screen? This is the question that can be asked following the publication of this photo on the Pebble website.

While the new Pebble smartwatch will be unveiled tomorrow, rumors seem to indicate that the next version will offer a color e-ink screen; as this famous image shows. If this image is undoubtedly a good indication as for one of the evolutions of this next opus, it is undoubtedly very far from it at the level of the design.

Indeed, after declining in steel last year, the company has already announced that its next smart health connected watch will be completely different from the first. In addition to its e-ink color screen, it will offer a completely new design and will incorporate a Cortex M4 SoC processor with a 6-axis gyroscope. The screen would not, a priori, be tactile. We should find buttons on the side as on the first two smartwatches of the brand.

Despite the arrival of the Apple Watch, Pebble doesn’t seem to care too much. In a few years, the company has indeed succeeded in creating an incredible ecosystem around its products by courting in particular the developers. It even participates in hackathons and goes so far as to encourage its users to modify its products.
