Apple just announced the hiring of two researchers in medical sensors : Nancy Doughert and Ravi Narasimhan. If nothing yet officially links them to the development of the iWatch, these two specialists may well provide serious innovation at the smart health watch, whose rumors are getting stronger and stronger.

Two recruits specializing in health sensors

It's the American site 9to5Mac who relayed the information, mentioning the very specific profile of the two researchers recently arrived at Apple: Nancy worked at Sano intelligence, a startup that developed a patch capable of monitoring blood quality while Ravi was with him Vital Connect, a company that developed portable sensors including the "HealthPatch". As a former R&D manager of the group, he also holds personal patents on breathing sensors and body position in space. These two people are added to the other experts in fitness tracking and medical sensors already present at Apple, in addition to legendary personalities in this field such as Jay Blahnik, founder of the Fuelband Nike and poached in 2013

By adopting a style similar to the product of Sano Intelligence, capable of retransmitting blood data on a mobile app, the iWatch could seriously revolutionize the life of people following a medical treatment likely to affect their blood balance (diabetics …).

However, 9to5Mac announces that the recruitment of these two people seriously jeopardizes the release of an Apple iWatch in 2014. Much like in its strategy for the iPhone or iPad, the Cupertino group would be able to announce it in early 2015, to market it a few months later.

In the end, it doesn't matter how long it takes to see the iWatch released. The bottom line is that it offers something truly unique that sets it apart from all the smartwatches that have emerged in recent times.
