According to the Withings card, Parisians are the most athletic
In any case, this is what the Withings Health Observatory seems to indicate. With the data collected using Withings objects, the French company has decided to publish an interactive map of activity in France. The latter indicates that these are the Ile-com-France people who are the most active, with only 20.3% sedentary, against 48% for Corsicans.
Once on the Withings Health Observatory website, you can click on the region that interests you and get the measurements for men and for women. Withings considered anyone who takes less than 4,000 steps per day to be sedentary, knowing that the WHO recommends taking 10,000 steps per day.
If for now the interactive map only shows the activity rate, the Withings map should soon also communicate body mass (BMI) and blood pressure. It’s an interesting use of user data, which should reassure some skeptics about the usefulness of smart health connected objects.
