activity tracking from A to Z

Currently funded by the Chinese crowdfunding site Pozible, the Oaxis Wellness Suite offers a complete range of objects, allowing for the most exhaustive activity monitoring. Balance, water bottle and two bracelets: it is a complete smart health connected pack that allows you to follow your progress in terms of physical activity.

A "pack" consisting of 4 objects

It is therefore no less than 4 objects that make up the Oaxis Wellness Suite. It's up to you to see if the 4 will be useful: it is possible on Pozible to order only 1 or 2 of the products of the Suite, at a lower price. Let's see which products make up the Oaxis offer:

Let's start with the bracelets, which are the "wearable" elements of the Suite (unless you want to wear the scales around your neck). First bracelet, the O2 Fitness Band; this one is responsible for measuring the rhythm of the heart using an optical cell sensor (?), which is able to measure the blood pressure under the skin. This bracelet allows to estimate the effectiveness of the physical training in terms cardiovascular, warning you in case of training too intensive, or not intensive enough. The design of the bracelet's interior is particular, in forms of blue waves to let the skin "breathe". The closure of the bracelet is magnetic.

The second bracelet is the Ji Cheng Fitness Band (there, we fall in the picturesque). Ji Cheng is in fact a recognized Chinese designer, behind the design of the second bracelet. This second bracelet is therefore prettier than the first, and designed to be worn in all situations where the O2 is not suitable (ie everywhere, except at the gym). It fulfills the tasks of a classic smart health connected bracelet, namely measuring steps taken, calories burned and quality of sleep. The two wristbands synchronize with the LifeBalanz app, which measures the gains (or weight losses) generated by the physical activity performed.

The smart health connected water bottle of the Suite bears the small name of Vita Smart Bluetooth Water Bottle. Like HidrateMe, for example, this bottle of water measures what you drink each day, adapting its recommendations to your physical characteristics, rather than relying on the golden rule of 1.5L water. per day. This bottle of water, however, offers an additional function compared to others: it measures the purity of the water contained, letting you know if it is fit for consumption or not. If this is interesting from a technological point of view, the interest will only be reduced for us, inhabitants of Western countries where tap water is always drinkable. We can imagine, however, that this feature is relevant in the native China of the designers of the Suite.

The manufacturer does not speak of scale, but of Glo Smart Bluetooth Body Analyzer. Behind this name full of promise is actually an object that measures BMI, bone mass, body hydration index, basic metabolism and age of your body (beware of the old man). The collected data is sent to the application, which will recommend different types of physical exercises. Different users can, a priori, be recognized automatically by the scale. In the family "Chinese scales", we must mention the Xiaomi Smart Scale, which will cost only $ 15 and offer interesting features.

A complete tracking app

The smartphone application associated with the Suite offers a summary of the data recorded by each element: the training heart rate, the number of steps, the calories, the hydration, the evolution of the BMI, the age of the body (argh), etc. It is visual, organized in cells, and easy to use. It is hoped, however, that the synchronization between the application and the 'members' objects of the Suite is up to par, which has not always been the case with Oaxis products (we think in particular of Star.21). We regret that the Wellness Suite is not compatible with Apple's Health Kit, or Google Fit.

The crowdfunding goals largely overwhelmed

Convinced? Want to get on the Glo Smart Bluetooth Body Analyzer (throw it out) every morning, to measure your progress? You have 33 days left to support the project and pre-order your Suite (or part of it) on the Pozible page of the Oaxis Wellness Suite. As the funding target has been largely exceeded, production has started and the first deliveries are scheduled for September.
