Alta HR – We tell you everything about Fitibt's new fitness bracelet

[ad_1]

The brand of smart health connected bracelets Fitbit has decided to complete its offer by releasing a new bracelet smart health connected. The Alta HR has a heart sensor and should target a rather large audience. His profile is suitable for athletes but also for those who want to sleep better.

Alta HR, a bracelet adapted to very varied profiles

Visually the Alta HR looks a lot like Charge 2. But from a technological point of view it is a small revolution that this time proposes Fitbit. Fine and compact, the target audience is clearly very broad. The display shows the time, the remaining battery life, the number of steps or even the distance traveled by the wearer. A simple touch on the screen starts the Alta HR. The real novelty is the integration of a heart sensor to measure the effort more precisely during our sports activities. The bracelet will also be able to recognize the physical activity that you practice. Its compatibility with your smartphone allows it to display notifications if you receive incoming calls, text messages or if you have appointments in your calendar.

The app gives you access to the history of your numbers, just as much calories burned as your heart rate. But the real highlight of Alta HR is its sleep monitoring. It detects its duration and its regularity. An update is in the pipes so that the Alta HR will soon be able to recognize the different phases of your sleep. Finally, you will be able to use the silent alarm thanks to the vibrations. You can count on about seven days of autonomy. Small detail but still useful, it resists without worry to sweat.

The rebound time for Fitbit?

For Fitbit, it is also about occupying the media and commercial space. The company was the victim of a data leak a few weeks ago because of its CloudFlare host. A problem that also affected OkCupid and Uber. In terms of sales, the company also has some difficulties. The year 2016 proved disappointing and she could not save her year on Christmas. Fitbit will therefore reduce its workforce by 6% (110 posts) in the coming months. The business tracker specialist is also expected to focus on the application market in 2017.

What about the price? The Alta HR is sold at a price of 149.95 euros. The two special editions are they sold at 169.95 euros. If you want different bracelets, the interchangeable bracelets of the Classic Collection are worth 29.95 euros. Those of the Luxury Leather Collection cost 59.95 euros. If you want the stainless steel bracelet it will cost you 99.95 €. The Alta HR is not immediately available for sale, it will take a few more weeks. But you can already order it on the Fitbit website.
