Amazfit ZenBuds review Innovative headphones for better sleep, smart health device review
During CES 2020 Huami presented its new in-ear headphones dedicated to sport the Amazfit PowerBuds, but also the Amazfit ZenBuds smart health connected earplugs for sleeping with.
Design Amazfit ZenBuds
These headphones are specially developed to be able to wear them at night, take a nap or reduce stress.
ZenBuds Amazfit fit perfectly in your ears thanks to their ergonomic design. Thanks to their soft silicone tips, they are particularly comfortable to wear lying down.
They weigh only 1.78 g each. By comparison, they’re three times lighter than Apple’s AirPods Pro.
In use, the design is much more comfortable to wear than traditional earplugsbecause they don’t need to be pushed into the ear canal.
Autonomy adapted to use
The lithium-ion micro batteries integrated into the earbuds provide an average of 8 hours of battery life on a single charge.
With sleep monitoring turned off and relaxing music played continuously, the battery life is approximately 8 hours.
If sleep monitoring is activated and the playing time is set to 3 hours, the battery life drops to around 12 hours.
In addition, thanks to the casing with rotating opening, you can recharge them and obtain 56 hours of additional autonomy. So you can charge them for a full week without needing to charge them in its storage case.
The bottom of the case is non-slip, which allows it to be placed safely on the nightstand.
Help fall asleep and wake up quietly
ZenBuds Amazfit are smart, noise-blocking headphones that are specially designed to help you sleep. By reducing annoying noise and emitting relaxing sounds, these headphones allow you to isolate yourself from the outside world and fall asleep effortlessly.
With Knowles full frame receivers, the headphones can emit different sleep-inducing sounds, mimicking different scenarios and natural environments. From the chirping of birds to that of a stream, let the relaxing sounds transport you to your dreams. After you fall asleep, the headphones automatically stop playing, allowing you to sleep soundly all night long.
The automatic pause function must be activated in the App.
Users cannot download melodies to the headphones by themselves, they can only download official sounds provided by the music library in the App.
Headphone volume should be controlled from the App. It cannot be controlled using the volume buttons on the phone.
A gentle and silent awakening
In the morning, the programmed alarm goes off gradually in your earbuds to wake you up gently. Another advantage is that the person next to you does not hear your alarm clock (and can continue to sleep).
Sleep analysis and advice
The smart sleep monitoring feature analyzes your sleep quality every night, which helps you build healthy sleep habits.
They analyze your heartbeat with your sleep phases, your position to determine the overall quality of your sleep. Thanks to the companion application, you get a report every day to view on your smartphone. In the Amazfit app, you also get recommendations for better sleep and recovery.
Recording of the different sleep phases:
Falling asleep
Light slow sleep
Slow deep sleep
REM or paradoxical sleep that normally ends each cycle.
