Amazon Echo Buds use Bose technology
Amazon presented its latest hardware news yesterday. The brand insisted that its new Echo Buds with Alexa, at $ 129.99, also incorporate Bose technology to actively reduce surrounding noise and noises. A Bose spokesperson confirmed that it was the first time that its NR technology had been integrated into the headphones of another company. Also, Amazon’s companion app for earphones specifically mentions “Bose ANR”; in several places.
The Echo Buds will be marketed in 2020
But the same spokesman also said that Bose had even better things to do. The next Bose Noise Canceling 700 headphones, which are expected to hit the market in 2020, will offer appropriate noise cancellation; as the name suggests, not just a reduction.
“Amazon uses Bose active noise reduction in Echo Buds. Amazon has set its performance target, and Bose's active noise reduction system used to achieve that target; minimize background noise throughout the day. "Bose spokesperson told The Verge.
“Bose noise canceling headphones, such as the QC35II and Noise Canceling Earbuds 700, use exclusive active noise canceling technology; exclusive to Bose. This significantly reduces the full spectrum of noise in places of daily life. As well as in noisy environments, such as planes or urban subways. Bose active noise cancellation technology is only available in Bose headphones. It uses a combination of Bose active and passive noise cancellation technologies, microphones, digital signal processing; and an acoustic and electronic design package to deliver unrivaled performance. "
Bose allows Amazon to offer great headphones
It's a lot of words, but the conclusion is quite simple. Bose wants to help Amazon make great headphones. "The Bose Earbuds 700 headphones are still about to be launched next year. They will use Bose's exclusive active noise canceling and perform better than Echo Buds headphones. Said the Bose spokesperson.
The Verge asked Bose if working with Amazon on Echo Buds had caused the company to get rid of its own next generation wireless headphones. The company showed an unusable sample of its upcoming Earbuds 500 headphones to reporters a few months ago by presenting the Noise Canceling Earbuds 700; but said the high-end NC pair won't be ready until next year.
"Their launch schedule has nothing to do with Echo Buds, as they are really two different products. With two different performance targets and therefore two very different levels of efficiency. Said the Bose spokesperson.
