Ambuliz raises 1 million euros to optimize medical transport

[ad_1]

Applied since October 2018, article 80 of the social security financing law for 2017 has shaken up the medical transport market. Until then, Social Security funded them 100%. "Today, health establishments are responsible for certain types of inter-establishment medical transport", contextualizes Pierre Lampérin, co-founder of Ambuliz in the summer of 2018 with Antoine Bohuon and Julien Quéré.

A platform for medical transport

With their platform for ordering and regulating medical transport, the three partners want to be part of this new dynamic by allowing establishments to save time and money. "Ambuliz gives caregivers the ability to quickly order seated or recumbent transport. The platform also handles certain administrative formalities such as transport vouchers. This allows caregivers to focus on their core business: care." By interfacing with business software, the platform is able to optimize transport flows and thus reduce empty journeys or the waiting time for paramedics. And so, in fine, reduce the related costs.

National ambitions

Since its commercial launch in the fall of 2018, the start-up claims to have deployed its platform in around 40 healthcare establishments, both private and public. And have signed agreements with 650 carriers: ambulance companies and taxis contracted for medical transport. "Today, we are present in 12 departments in the greater west and in the Paris region. And we have the ambition to deploy on a national scale. Advanced discussions are underway in several cities."

Recruitments

To support this project, the start-up has just completed a fundraising of one million euros. If the three partners remain the majority, Ambuliz now counts among its investors the investment fund West Web Valley in Brest, leader of the operation, and business angels. Vivalto Santé (39 establishments in France) has already supported the start-up since its creation. Based in Rennes, the private group (805 million euros in turnover) is also participating in this round. These funds will allow the start-up to expand its team. It currently employs 12 people between Rennes, Brest and Paris. A dozen recruitments are planned in the coming months.
