AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT: Review, price and specification – Graphics card

[ad_1]

In absolute terms, the Radeon RX 5500 XT is a very good solution for playing on a Full HD monitoring. The 8 GB version allows you to launch any current title with a fairly high frame rate. Enough to see most of the headlines coming out fairly calmly, while keeping in mind that some graphic concessions will have to be made on the most resource-hungry.

With results in games similar to those of the Radeon RX 590, AMD also shows its mastery of engraving in 7 nm by proposing a card which is ultimately very energy efficient. If the ecological aspect, even economic, of the thing does not necessarily impact the minds of all players, it especially allows AMD partners to make graphics cards not too noisy without resorting to expensive system of ultra-elaborate cooling.

Compared to Nvidia's offer, AMD is a bit lower (10%) under the classic GeForce GTX 1660 – the Super version being far superior. Nvidia has also changed the pricing of this graphics card a few days before the release of the Radeon RX 5500 XT. It is now found from 199 € against 240 € so far. The lower model, the GeForce GTX 1650 (around € 175) is also largely exceeded (50%).

With a suggested price of € 215.90 for the 8 GB version, the Radeon RX 5500 XT will have a lot to contend with the offer of Nvidia, cleverly revised. If performance is not everything, the choice of one or the other model will also be based on the games offered at the time of purchase, but also on the software ecosystem. The AMD card is thus accompanied by a driver with ever-expanding functionalities, which we discussed in a dedicated article.
