The American watchmaker Timex has just unveiled the Ironman R300, an inexpensive sports smart health connected watch, despite the presence of a GPS and an attractive design.
While Casio has just launched its new G-Shock GBD-H1000 fitness smartwatch, another tenor in consumer watchmaking is also announcing one. Sold to athletes too, it has, among other things, great autonomy.
The Timex Ironman R300: an enduring watch
Anecdotally, Ironman is one of the most difficult formats in triathlon, a discipline already trying in itself. Timex smartwatch lives up to its name thanks to the endurance of its battery, capable of making it work 25 days on a single charge.
If this performance falls at 8 p.m. in sports tracker mode, we can however count on a Heart which also tracks the resting heart rate. This indicator lets you know if the body has recovered well after an effort. In addition, the Timex Ironman R300 is waterproof up to 30 m deep if you like diving. Finally, we must not forget the GPS, essential for any follower of running.
A mini-coach for à la carte training
Included in the Timex offer, you can access guides to practice easily. These include in particular expert advice for scheduling workouts runners, cyclists or triathletes.
Also interesting, the smartwatch can compare the performance of its user on two different races performed on the same course. Finally, all sports data is recorded and can be viewed on the mobile application Timex Smart App.
At the same time, the Timex Ironman R300 does not forget its function as a smart health connected watch. Thus, we can access notifications from his smartphone from his wrist.
But how much does it all cost? Not much since the smartwatch is displayed at 120 dollars in the United States, or just over 109 euros. Unfortunately, Timex has not yet given a date for a European release.
