AP-HP and Quantum Surgical Join Forces for AI Research in Early Cancer Treatment

This collaboration is part of a research project carried out with the team of Pr Valérie Vilgrain, head of the radiology department of Beaujon Hospital (Clichy, AP-HP).

This is a study based on the health data of patients admitted to the AP-HP for destruction of a hepatic tumor and gathered in the health data warehouse (EDS) of the AP- HP.

As part of this partnership, Quantum Surgical will be able to access EDS data to develop and evaluate, with radiologist physicians, AI algorithms intended to develop early and minimally invasive treatments for liver cancer.

The project won "favorable opinion" from the scientific and ethical committee of the EDS team, said the AP-HP.

Authorized by the National Commission for Data Protection (Cnil) on January 19, 2017, the EDS of the AP-HP integrates the administrative and medical data of more than 8 million patients hospitalized or consulted in the 39 AP-HP establishments, we recall.
