Apple buys the Beddit sleep sensor

[ad_1]

The Cupertino company is making an interesting move by offering Beddit, a Finnish startup specializing in sleep monitoring.

Its sensor, the Beddit Sleep monitoring takes the form of a rectangle that is placed directly on the mattress, while the tracking is done on the dedicated application on iOS, Android or watchOS.

For the moment, the apple watch does not ship hardware dedicated to sleep monitoring, so it's a logical acquisition that will complete its features. The monitoring of the activity can then cover the 24 hours of the day, where until now the purchase of a third-party sensor was necessary.

Apple is still expanding the area of influence of its products in our daily lives, perhaps even soon in our nights. For information, one third of the French population suffers from sleep disorders.
