Apple iPad Pro 2020: the first renderings show a photo module inspired by the latest iPhones

The end of the year is approaching, but the leaks do not stop. The new renderings of the iPad Pro suggest that Apple will finally equip its tablet with a camera worthy of the name and equivalent to that of its smartphones.

As we slowly leave 2019, the rumored leak machine doesn't seem to be taking a vacation. On December 30, we take note of some information about the (likely) new tablets from Apple. So, thanks to OnLeaks, a well-known specialist in leaks of all kinds – and rarely found wanting – we can see what the next iPad will no doubt be.

At first glance, nothing seems to really change at the front, whether for the 12.9-inch model or the 11-inch model. Moreover, according to the dimensions of the smallest tablet (248 x 178.6 x 5.9 mm), we can see that it will be identical to the 2018 model. As for the borders surrounding the screen, they do not seem not to have declined, and as often Apple is conservative in design.

The upper edge of the devices still houses the selfie module accompanied by the Face ID system which, a feature acquired from previous versions, also works in landscape mode unlike the iPhone. From what we know, the camera would enjoy an increased angle for unlocking. Inside the beast, we should logically find the A13X chip, a tablet derivative of the A13 chip of the iPhone, which should guarantee more than substantial power. Already last year, during some performance tests, the iPad Pro surpassed laptops, however, carrying potentially more muscular configurations. No information concerning endurance has been communicated, but given the substantial gain in battery life of the iPhone 11 & Co, we are entitled to expect the same evolution for the iPad 2020.

Regarding the finishes, OnLeaks cannot tell if the shelves will be covered with glass or aluminum. You will have to be a little more patient to find out. Finally, the main development is to be found on the back. Indeed, after years spent equipping its tablets with rather mediocre cameras, Apple seems to be raising the tone for 2020. If these renderings are correct, future iPad Pro would carry the same triple photo module (wide-angle, ultra-wide angle and telephoto?) than the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. If the software work is up to that of the iPhone, we must expect excellent quality.
