application for patients suffering from Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy

[ad_1]

The Mylan laboratory, in partnership with Ad Scientiam, is launching a mobile application to support patients suffering from benign enlarged prostate: MyHBP. Discovery.

With more than 5 million patients affected in France, benign prostatic hyperplasia is the most common disease of the elderly (50% of men over 55). However, more than 30% of men with BPH are not diagnosed and / or treated and few patients say they are well informed about this disease.

To support patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in their care and management of their disease, the Mylan laboratory with Ad Scientam is launching the MyHBP® mobile solution. The purpose of this application is to bring the patient closer to their doctor in order to offer better monitoring of this pathology of Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy.

Developed in collaboration with general practitioners, urologists and patients, the functionalities offered in the application make it possible to list and synthesize all the data necessary for optimal patient support.

A tool for patients to:

  • stay informed and follow your pathology: digitalization of the IIEF5, USP and IPSS questionnaires (tools allowing the evaluation of urination and sexual disorders), voiding calendar to record urination data each day, reminder of treatment initiation, information and hygiene and diet advice

  • get involved in care: simplified access to the results of their questionnaires that assess BPH, graphical visualization of the evolution of disorders

  • facilitate dialogue with healthcare professionals: summary of patient results in the form of a report, reminder of consultation appointments

For healthcare professionals, MyHPB® facilitates the monitoring of patients and helps them in their therapeutic decision:

  • The scores of the questionnaires (IIEF5, USP, IPSS) and the complete voiding calendar are fully digitalized

  • The summary report – in the form of graphs – makes it possible to follow the results concretely over time. It can be printed or sent to his doctor.

The MyHBP® solution will evolve with new functionalities according to the needs of healthcare professionals, clinicians and patients.
