Archos launches into smart health connected health

Today’s smart health connected objects are increasingly health oriented. Indeed, many devices are now capable of analyzing innumerable data. Whether on our body or on well-being or taking medication, smart health connected objects are part of this medical sector. Archos has understood this and is embarking today on the development of three smart health connected objects intended for health.

Here's a nice surprise. Archos is not really known for smart health connected objects, however they are embarking on the design of three smart health connected objects dedicated to health. These three objects are supposed to meet the needs of a diverse range of users. With ease of use, there is no doubt that Archos made the right choice when deciding to invest in the world of smart health connected health.

These three planned objects are:

  • A smart health connected bracelet

  • A smart health connected scale

  • A smart health connected blood pressure monitoring

The innovation is not in the objects themselves. Indeed, bracelets are more than present on the market, not to mention scales and blood pressure monitors. However, the novelty made by Archos is the collection of these three objects in a single application. Convenient when you know that a person with more than 5 smart health connected objects, must have the same number of smartphone applications corresponding to the object in question. Here, Archos decided to create an application capable of reading the data of the three smart health connected objects presented.

On the functional side, the smart health connected bracelet is classic in the sense that it will calculate your steps and strides, and thus will come out the number of calories burned. The little extra of this bracelet, the time display. The smart health connected scale, on the other hand, will calculate your weight as well as your fat mass rate. The particularity of this balance is that it will be able to support 4 different people, and recognize them at weighing. Finally, the monitoring, as the name suggests, will calculate your blood pressure.

These three objects will be smart health connected through the Bluetooth network to your smartphone, whether Android or iOS. All that will be missing is Windows Phone compatibility for total agreement with all. However, note that each device has an internal memory which does not necessarily require the use of a smartphone to consult the data.

Availability

The date of these three smart health connected objects is not yet disclosed, however the prices are clearly displayed. Archos wanted to display low prices for these objects. Count 59 € for the bracelet and the balance, and around 80 € for the blood pressure monitoring.

Conclusion

Archos is mainly known for its manufacturing of tablets. Although they want to stand out by trying to establish themselves in the smart health connected health sector, they do not go to originality. The only specificity brought would possibly be a low price for these smart health connected objects. However, Archos has nevertheless made the choice of ease. Indeed, nothing new is proposed. Another proposal that goes in the same direction as the others.
