Aria Air – An affordable Fitbit smart scale
With its new Aria Air smart scale, Fitbit wants to help you track your weight loss without spending a lot of money.
Unlike the Aria 2, which costs 119.99 euros, the Aria Air costs only 49.99 euros. Even at this price, it will not work with all Fitbit fitness trackers and smartwatches to give you a more complete picture of your health and fitness.
The Aria Air smart health connected scale only uses Bluetooth technology to synchronize data with the Fitbit app. It can measure your weight and body mass index over time. It will also be compatible with Fitbit's premium paid subscription service to provide more personalized information; as well as guided programs allowing you to stay on top of your goals.
Additional features include the ability to configure weight goals and connect scales to partner apps to view all of your health and fitness data in one place.
In design terms, the Air model resembles the Aria 2, with the exception of the metallic ring of the higher-end scale; but it’s not, I think, absolutely annoying. The Fitbit Aria Air smart scale will be available for pre-order at the end of September and will go on sale in October. So you won't have to wait too long to Review it.
Fitbit has already taken steps to make health and fitness tracking more affordable with the unveiling of its Inspire series fitness trackers earlier this year. So it's good to see that the same is true for other devices in its line of smart health connected devices.
Of course, the Aria Air will work well with the FitBit Versa 2; the brand's fourth smartwatch.
