Asus ZenWatch 2 offered at very aggressive prices

The Asus ZenWatch 2, which was announced three months ago during the Asus keynote at Computex, will be offered at very aggressive prices ranging from 149 to 169 euros; starting in October.

In Europe, this new Asus ZenWatch 2 smartwatch will therefore cost 149 euros for the 49 mm model with a 1.6 inch screen or 169 euros for the 45 mm variant with a 1.45 inch screen. This Android smartwatch was already one of the cheapest on the market when it was marketed, but with this new Asus opus goes even further.

The two variants of the ZenWatch 2 have AMOLED screens, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi. They are also equipped with a Snapdragon 400 processor combined with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. Asus promises more than two days of battery life on a single charge, but only if you use an operating mode equivalent to a classic watch. To recharge it, you will have to use the new magnetic charge connector which will be faster. It would only take 36 minutes to recharge 50 percent of the battery.

The ZenWatch 2 will be offered in silver, bronze, gold or pink color. Many bracelets will also be available. The larger model is compatible with 22mm bracelets while the smaller will fit 18mm bracelets. Asus will also offer its own dials and a customization tool to help you create your own. The Taiwanese company said ZenWatch 2 will be available worldwide starting in early October.
