August Connect adds internet to its smart health connected lock

August’s smart health connected lock, August Connect, is trying to catch up and has a new feature: internet connectivity.

Indeed, the smart health connected lock can therefore be used with this small box that plugs into an outlet near the Smart Lock. Once associated with your WiFi network, your August Connect lock therefore accesses the Internet.

Thanks to that, you will be able to check the status of your lock remotely and receive notifications if anything happens. As everyone says, August should really have offered this option, this accessory from the launch of its Smart Lock.

In parallel with the launch of this product, August officially launches its API which will allow partners to offer products compatible with its own. Logitech Harmony, SmartThings and Nest are in the running. For example, the Nest Thermostat will go into power saving mode when you lock your door from health home and turn on when you get health home. The brand's product is available for pre-order now for $ 50 and will be available in mid-February.
