August locks are now compatible with Siri

August locks are now compatible with Siri! The brand has indeed announced the second generation of its smart lock and many other health home automation products.

August smartlock locks

The new August locks do not bring much innovation in terms of design. Designed by Yves Behar of Fuseproject, it is especially now now HomeKit compatible thanks to the addition of a Broadcom chip. IOS users can now use Siri to lock and unlock the doors using voice commands and therefore also with their Apple Watch. The smartwatch will also allow you to receive notifications.

August also presented a Wi-Fi doorbell with a camera, motion sensors and a 10-digit smart keyboard. With this keyboard, if people need to go health home but they don't have a smartphone, you only have to send them a unique code to give them access to your health home.

The most interesting with the new August product line is in software. Within the dedicated application, users can check the use of locks and find out what is going on at health home when they are not there. August has signed partnerships with companies like Sears, Postmates, Pro.com, Handy, Fetch, Shyp to provide bread-making services from within the app. These companies provide services such as taking care of your pets, delivering groceries, cleaning your health home or repairing your appliances. It therefore becomes very interesting to be able to unlock access to your health home on certain days and certain hours.
