In short, if the performances are there for less than 20 € what would be a great way to enjoy your best music on any device.

Presentation of the BR-C1 Bluetooth receiver

As usual, AUKEY highlights its product in a box with a reduced design to its bare minimum. Willing not to do too much or simply concerned about protecting the environment, the most important thing remains the material and not the box.

Speaking of equipment precisely, we find the following elements:

  • The BR-C1 Bluetooth receiver

  • USB to micro-USB charging cable

  • Instructions for use

  • A 3.5mm male to male 2 RCA Jack cable

  • A 3.5mm double jack male cable

  • A warranty card

As the cables are delivered with the receiver, no need to search everywhere. Take the receiver out of the box and install it directly. And like Those are standard connectors, it’s very likely to be compatible with all of your devices.

Another good point is its very dimensions scaled down 5 x 5 x 1 cm, it will have no trouble sliding even in the smallest places. And its integrated battery which gives it up to 10 hours of autonomy.

As mentioned above, the receiver is very compact. What adds to his discretion is coating black plastic

On the top of the case, there are 5 LEDs that allow us to determine the level of the battery. Thus, we are constantly informed of the state of the battery and we are not caught off guard. Still on top of the case is the multi-function button, which among other things allows you to start the pairing process. As well as a microphone for answering calls, in particular, if it is smart health connected to your smartphone and your car radio.

Finally, on the back, there is a USB port for fully recharging the device in 1 hour as well as a standard 3.5mm jack output.

The care of

It must be admitted that there is nothing very complicated, even for someone who is not familiar with all this.

When the device starts, it will automatically enter pairing mode. The indicator light will flash red and blue.

In this example, with my smartphone, I activate the Bluetooth functionality and look for the receiver “AUKEY BR-C1". For the association code, it is "0000" then the indicator turns blue to indicate proper operation.

All we have to do is connect the receiver to equipment such as a stereo to enjoy our favorite music.

And for those who wish to go far, we can associate the Bluetooth receiver BR-C1 with two devices in simultaneous connection.

My opinion

On the good points, the whole is compact and very practical with standard cables. The autonomy is at the rendezvous as well as the indicated range of 10 meters. And on the sound quality nothing to complain about.

On the negative points, we regret the non-compatibility with the protocol LossLess and cables a little short.

For less than 20 €, it's a very good quality / price ratio. Now you have Bluetooth functionality on devices that do not have it.
