Aukey SK-S1 Bluetooth speaker review

In the past, we have had some nice surprises with the Aukey brand. Without further ado, let's get to the heart of the matter.

Presentation of the SK-S1 Bluetooth speaker

Let’s start with the general design, first of all, it’s the more refined aesthetic. With a stylish look, a large aluminum grill that goes around, a brushed metal top plate and its non-slip silicone support. One thing is for sure, there has been a lot of work on the exterior aesthetic.

On the rear side, there is a standard 3.5 mm jack output, a USB socket for charging the battery and a power button.

On the top we find the main controls as well as a button to answer phone calls. As well as a blue and orange LED indicating the charge and the functioning of the device.

In its unadorned packaging, there is a USB cable for charging as well as a 3.5 mm double jack cable, a user manual and the 24-month warranty booklet.

The care of

The SK-S1 Bluetooth speaker is equipped with two speakers of 8 W each as well as two passive front and rear. Amply sufficient to properly flood a large room.

Lightweight with a 680 gram stitch and equipped with a 4000 mA rechargeable battery, you get 8 hours of listening time. Not bad for spending the day in songs. Everything is ready to go in 3 hours with a good USB charger.

The presence of a 3.5 mm jack port on the back is a positive point, indeed in addition to Bluetooth you can connect your smartphone or other device directly.

Without being a great music lover, after several hours of reading, I must say that I am surprised by the sound quality of the whole. The bass is present and faithful thanks to the MaxxBass and DSP technology. As for the treble they remain present even with distance.

No complaints at the decibel level, there is plenty to do. I even had a little trouble getting it all saturated.

All that is missing is the seal and it will be perfect, maybe on the next revision.

My opinion

The design is at the top very well cared for with its grid and its brushed aluminum facade. In terms of performance nothing to complain about they are there as the battery life elsewhere.

It may lack the tightness of the whole so as not to fear going outside, but with a price around 40 €, it is very good value for money.

Again, this is proof with the SK-S1 Bluetooth speaker from Aukey that design and quality are not necessarily synonymous with high prices.
