Babolat Play, the world's first smart health connected racket

[ad_1]

The French equipment supplier Babolat has just announced the release of the world's first smart health connected racket, the Babolat Play. After 4 years of development, the super-racket will allow you to precisely measure all your gestures (power, angle, number of shots…) thanks to the sensors contained in the handle of it. More complete than the Sony Tennis Sensor which is still under development, it sends data directly via Bluetooth or micro-USB to your Smartphone (or computer). From the tennis court, you can easily retrieve the data via an iOs or Android application, depending on your medium.

This racket was also validated by the International Tennis Federation, which added 31th rule, authorizing its use in official competition. Attention, it will not be possible to extract the data during the match (as it is forbidden to communicate with his trainer), but the player is authorized to analyze them in the event of cuts (night, rain) and once the match over.

Babolat Play: 150 hours of memory

The manufacturer's racket has an autonomy of 6 hours (largely sufficient for a tennis match, even in 5 sets with extensions), and keeps up to 150 hours of data in memory, which can be compared over various time horizons ( day, week…). Like many smart health connected objects, the social aspect has not been forgotten: a Babolat Play community has been created to share and compare its results with other members.

Tested and approved by Rafael Nadal, this racket is no heavier than its traditional competitors, and its balance is similar to the Babolat Pure Drive, the standard model of the equipment manufacturer. Ultimately, these functionalities should be integrated into all of the group's models.

The jewel is only sold in the United States at the moment, at a price of 399 dollars (against 209 dollars for the traditional Pure Drive racket).
