Bewell BW-SC1 smart health connected scale Review

The Bewell BW-SC1 smart health connected bathroom scale is part of the MyScale range of the brand. Specifically, this is the MyScale Analyzer scale. It is a balance coupled to an impedance meter for a complete analysis of body composition: Weight, BMI, fat, body, bone, muscle, water.

Presentation

The box contains the scale, a quick start guide, a user manual and 4 AAA batteries.

The screen is wide enough, with backlit numbers and three touch buttons to select users.

Use & Getting started

Download the application

In order to connect the Bewell BW-SC1 smart health connected body scale, you must first download the Bewell Connect app from the App Store or Google Play, depending on the model of your smartphone or tablet. You will find on our applications page all the necessary links.

Once the application is installed, you must then create an account to be able to use it. It allows you to connect all the devices of the Bewell brand, and thus to be able, in addition to its weight, to monitoring your blood pressure, sleep, activity, etc.

Taking measurements

You turn on the scale by touching it with your foot or hand, then if you want to take advantage of the impedance meter function, you must choose the user with the P key.

Then just climb on the scale, one foot on each electrode, so that the different measurements are made and scroll on the screen.

We can know in order:

  • his weight,

  • its fat percentage (FAT%),

  • its percentage of water mass (TBW%),

  • muscle mass,

  • its bone mass,

  • his body mass index (BMI),

  • and its daily caloric needs to stay at the same weight (KCAL).

Log in

You have to activate the Bluetooth connection of your smartphone or tablet, start the Bewell Connect application, then select the BW-SC1 scale from the list for the first connection. The connection is then made automatically at the end of the measurements.

Bewell Connect app

The Bewell Connect app is fairly easy to use. It allows you to follow the evolution of your weight over a given period, and to set weight and body mass index goals. You can also export your data by email in Pdf format.

It is also possible to manually enter the data and have a summary of all its data in tabular form (also including blood pressure, sleep, temperature, blood sugar, pulse oximeter measurements, etc.).
