Bewell Connect, new French brand of smart health connected health

If the Visiomed brand is not necessarily known to the general public, it is a French company founded in 2007. It has made a name for itself in the medical field with one of its flagship products: Thermoflash. Behind this name hides a contactless infrared thermometer, used in particular in airports in the event of a pandemic.

On the MedPi, Bewell Connect presents the MyThermo a contactless medical thermometer, using the same technology as the Thermoflash, and smart health connected via Bluetooth. This offers a temperature measurement on the temporal artery and allows, via the accompanying application, to monitoring its temperature day by day.

The device offers an immediate reading of the temperature with a color code for an easy interpretation of the result: green, everything is fine, orange, to watch, and red, fever! The MyThermo can also be used to measure the ambient temperature via another mode while using Bluetooth 4.0 LE. The device is recharged via USB, and its “companion” application is currently available for the Android and iOS platforms. The brand announces a recommended retail price of 99 euros including tax.

The other product put forward by Bewell Connect is a MyTensio automatic blood pressure monitoring. It is worn on the wrist and is indeed a medical device. It consists of an armband that is slipped on the wrist and which performs three consecutive measurements before interpreting and therefore, delivering the result.

The screen on the cuff allows direct reading of the voltage, while the Bluetooth 4.0 connection allows data transfer to the Bewell Connect application. This offers regular monitoring with a color display that allows easier interpretation of the results, according to WHO standards. We find the possibility of locating a health professional near you with the app, a function which is based on Google Maps data.

Note that Bewell Connect also has a version of the MyTensio which is used at the top of the arm. This is marketed at 109 euros including tax against 99 euros including tax for the wrist model.

The brand does not stop there and offers other products with a blood oxygen sensor, MyOxy also in Bluetooth or an intelligent and smart health connected blood glucose meter for monitoring diabetes.
