Bionik continues to launch VR headset accessories, after the PSVR products, it is the turn of the Oculus Quest 2. Bionik announces 2 new additions: Mantis VR external headphones and the VR Face Pad.

Bionik Mantis VR is a range of on-ear headphones, like headphones. But the Mantis are detachable and specially designed to fit most VR headsets.

Bionik’s updated Mantis VR headset is designed to fit comfortably over the ear, delivering clear sound while minimizing excess cables.

Bionik has confirmed that the kit comes with adapters for the original fabric strap of the Quest 2.

However, if you use one of the official strap Elite Strap Oculus, you won’t need these adapters, as the headphones are designed to clip directly onto them.

The Mantis VR eliminates the need for bulky headsets and allows for a higher level of immersion when playing virtual reality games.

The Face Pad VR is a replacement hypoallergenic face pad for the Oculus Quest 2, designed to improve comfort while wearing the headset.

The headband features ventilation holes for better airflow and breathability, which will be appreciated by gamers who like to exercise in virtual reality.

Personally, I recommend the VR Cover at 29 $ to use them for a long time. Mantis bear a pretty striking resemblance, but are advertised half the price. For very physical activities in VR, add a simple basic terry cloth headband ($ 9.99 all three).

First review earphones and foam Mantis VR Oculus Quest 2

The Mantis VR system was a great solution for the PSVR. Indeed, the PSVR does not have its on-board audio system (Amazon price of $ 82).

It’s not quite the same with Quest 2 which benefits from rather satisfactory integrated headphones. The main interest is to bring a greater immersion. This is to reduce noise from your immediate surroundings. But it’s also a way to play more discreetly. So ideal for watching a movie in virtual reality, but not very useful for collaborative games where people talk loudly like Population One.

Personally, I used the headphones on the strap for a while Lichifit at $ 66.99. I ended up removing them just to hear better around me.

Regarding the facial foam, I recommend the one which for me is the current reference, the VR Cover both comfortable and hygienic for $ 29. But at the price announced by Mantis for its new facial interface, an alternative to watch and Review when it comes out.
