Bloomlife wants to become your coach during your pregnancy
Who said that all the wearables on the market were smartwatches or trackers? Bloomlife proves the opposite since this wearable for pregnant women aims to become your coach during your pregnancy.
The company Bloomlife has developed a revolutionary sensor which is placed on sale in order to capture the electrical signals of the uterine muscle and thus automatically measure, count and analyze your contractions in real time. The great innovation lies in particular in the size of the product. As you can see in the photo below, this product is by no means invasive.
This smart health connected sensor will also track changes in contraction patterns throughout the third trimester to see how the mother's body is preparing for labor. The data can then be viewed by the user or doctor on the dedicated iOS or Android app.
Obviously, the most complicated thing today for the company is to get its product approved. "Traditional approaches to clinical research are fraught with paperwork when it comes to pregnancy," said Eric Dy, co-founder and CEO of Bloomlife. “Of course, anything that is perceived as a risk to the mother and her baby is strictly prohibited. This approval was finally obtained by the company.
With this smart health smart health connected object, what the brand seeks above all is to improve overall user-friendliness for women during their pregnancy but also to improve monitoring with data that is not currently used. This product would also offer a better understanding during complications such as premature births.
After nine months in beta and four clinical studies, the product is now operational. It will be available from the end of January, for rental, starting at $ 149 for one month, $ 249 for two months and $ 299 for three months.
