Bluboo xWatch – A $ 99 Android Wear smartwatch
According to its creators, the Bluboo xWatch is an exceptional smartwatch that costs only $ 99.99. Bluboo seems to be preparing the ground before launching its product next February.
The Bluboo xWatch would ship a 1.2GHz processor with 4 GB of storage. It would also have a 1.3 inch 360 x 360 screen. For comparison, the Moto 360 is equipped with a 1.56 inch 360 x 360 screen. Measuring 9.8mm, the xWatch also claims to be thinner than the Apple watch, which measures 10.5 mm thick, and the Moto 360, which measures 11.4 mm thick.
Among other features we find a heart rate monitoring, an altimeter, a barometer and above all a GPS. With such specifications, we can only agree with Bluboo. For this price, this Android Wear smartwatch is just amazing; especially when you know that even the Casio WSD-F10 watch that has just been unveiled does not have a GPS chip and a heart rate monitoring. On the design side, in the photos you can see on the company blog, the Bluboo xWatch looks a lot like Casio watches and more generally traditional sports watches.
But let's be careful! It would not be the first time that a Chinese company announces a watch with exceptional specifications that is not that much! We especially remember the Com1 smartwatch, which actually had no license to use Google’s software. The American giant had even published the list of its partners having the right to operate its operating system.
