Centralization of TYXIA 541 roller shutters
In this new article after the smart health connected switch, it is the turn of the centralization pack of roller shutters Delta Dore to pass between our hands.
The shutters are one of the first pieces of equipment to be automated. Nothing more time-consuming to spend twice a day every day on our shutters to open and close them.
But all this will only be a bad memory thanks to the equipment that we will discover together.
Presentation of the centralized roller shutter pack
Let's start by discovering the material as such. The box itself is nothing special, it is made up of a simple description of the content. We would have appreciated a small photo presentation with example of use, something a little more glamorous, but hey the important thing is what is inside.
Precisely, the pack itself is composed of the following elements:
A 1712 centralization remote control with CR2430 lithium battery (supplied) + remote control support.
5 Tyxia 5630 receivers
5 lots of 3 wires for connection with the shutter switch
User manual
You understand, with this pack, you will be able to control 5 wired electric roller shutters. In order to control them via the remote control in addition to your smartphone. The advantage of the remote control is that you can control your shutters individually or in groups. All with a visual confirmation of the orders sent.
One thing is certain, the finishes are perfect whether on the remote control or its support. As for the radio receiver, with its very limited dimensions H 41 x W 36 x D 14.5 mm. There will be no difficulty in installing it at the back of the existing switch, in the recessed box.
The receiver has 4 inputs on the front which will allow us to power the shutter and on the side 3 inputs allow us to connect the existing switch.
Installation of the centralized roller shutter pack
For the installation, we will start by installing the receiver on the pilot wires of the shutter. Please note this operation must always be carried out without power supply in order to avoid any risk of electric shock.
In this action, we will be helped by a pictogram present on it. The goal is to get a bare wire of the right length, here 8 mm.
The phase and the 220 V neutral are then inserted, then the pilot wire mounted and lowered by the shutter. To help you, here is a representation of the montage.
You are free to mount a switch or not in order to manually control the shutter. Personally, I took the opportunity to withdraw them.
Once this step is done, let's go to the association with the remote control, for that, we follow the instructions of the manual. We start by pressing the button at the top of the module for 3 seconds to obtain a flashing red LED. Then on the remote control, you select the shutter mode and then press the up and down button simultaneously until a number appears on the screen.
There you go, the remote control is done. Let's go further by making an association with the Tydom 1.0 health home automation box from Delta Dore.
On the receiver we repeat the same step with the button in order to obtain a flashing red LED, the rest takes place on our mobile application.
We go to the "Equipment" category then "Add equipment" and of course, we select the "Shutter" tab and the corresponding module.
The association starts and if all goes well, our shutter module is detected. All that remains is to give it a small name and here is a new tile on our dashboard.
Thanks to the mobile application, we will be able to open and close our shutters from anywhere and anytime. But not only, we also have the possibility of selecting a partial opening, of setting up a programming and a scenario.
Go further with the centralized roller shutter pack
The programming will allow us in this example to automatically close and open all our shutters at a defined time. Or as I like it more, to stick to the times of sunrise and sunset. And no more chore, for this we choose in the calendar the time of the action and the action to perform, as below.
And if you want to go further, here is a very useful scenario. In this example, we are going to create a scenario called “departure” in order to launch a multitude of actions in the house when we are about to leave. Here simply close all the shutters and lights when you leave the house. Very practical, like that, we are sure not to have forgotten to close the light of the room or to close the shutter of the kitchen.
Conclusion
Sold at the price of 512 € on the official site of the brand, I must say that I find it a little expensive. But rest assured, it is found at a more affordable price on reseller sites.
In any case, the whole is very compact and can be easily integrated into an existing non-health home automation installation. The big advantage is to be able to keep the manual buttons in addition to the remote control and the smartphone. After a few minutes of configuring the scenarios, you are left with an autonomous installation that will make you forget the drudgery of the shutters.
A good product “Made in France ”, an installation that is easy and quick to set up, and one less chore in your day, than asking for more. This is what the Delta Dore TYXIA 541 centralized shutter pack offers.
