Imedicup and Imedipac are two smart health connected products created to facilitate the autonomy in taking medication for the blind of the company Médissimo.

Imedipac

Imedipac is a pillbox smart health connected via bluetooth to a smartphone or tablet. It is programmed to 7 days and contains 28 cells filled out by the pharmacist every week. Each new refill or plate is identified using an NFC chip so that all information is coordinated in theMedissimo application.

When taking the medication the Imedicap lights up and stays on throughout the intake. The patient and / or the trusted third party is informed by SMS or voice message. The Imedicap is available for 289 € which is a bit expensive but it makes the patient more independent and makes their daily life easier.

Imedicup

Imedicup works with Imedipac. Thanks to a on-board micro camera, it will facilitate taking the patient's medication by making it safer. That is to say that the Imedicup will analyze the QR code of the compartment to be drilled. He will then issue light, sound and vibration signals throughout the take. On its own, it has a memory to store one month of processing data until it is synchronized again with the application.

It has been designed to fit naturally in the hand and not tip over when placed on a flat surface and its shape makes it easier to put in the mouth of medication. It works on drums and recharges by induction. It will be marketed at next spring for 39 €.

The Medissimo application

These two products work together and with a mobile or tablet application: Medissimo. She informed patient and / or trusted third partytime of taking medication defined. It also informs with the help of Imedicap whether the patient has taken his medication correctly or not by SMS or voice message with three messages: good intake, intake error or not taken.
