Do you like motorcycling, biking, diving or bungee jumping? In this case, you certainly want to share your passion, but GoPro cameras are not the most instantaneous or the smartest thing. To make up for this lack, the Indian startup NexGear threw a smart health connected and intelligent camera for all thrill seekers. An announcement made at CES 2020 which almost echoes the presentation of several 360 ° cameras.

Concretely, the Frodo smart health connected camera is more like a watch. It just means she’s tied to a strap, which can be worn on the wrist, on the forehead, on the bust, on the ankle or even on a bicycle. Unlike GoPro however, Frodo presents itself as the smartest of the attachable cameras.

Above all, it is smart health connected, which means that it is synchronized with the smartphone of the user and instantly sends the videos to the terminal. In addition, it has smart features likeIntelligent Edit : a scalable algorithm for instantly editing and sharing videos. Here, the "intelligent edition" proposed by Frodo consists mainly of link the recorded rushes in a story over time and offer interesting content without having to do manual editing. For this, it has five editing modes, allowing everyone to adapt the recorded images in different kinds of scenarios:

Genius : an evolving and intelligent mode, which learns user preferences to offer them what they prefer,

Action : fast paced stories, great for action scenes,

Calm : not surprisingly, calm and serene videos,

People : an editing mode centered on people and faces,

15sec : a rather special format, focused on short videos that can be shared on Instagram.

Finally, Frodo lets you add background music to these short films, taken from Frodo’s library or user’s playlists.

This smart camera has a modular design and a full HD resolution (1080p) at 30 fps. We find it in three different models (16G, 32G, 64G) but no price order or release date have not yet been announced by NexGear on Frodo's site.
