On the occasion of CES 2020, which is held in Las Vegas (United States) until January 10, Somfy has unveiled products to prevent this from happening again. The smart health home ehealth specialist from the smart health connected health home allows users to manage access to their health home by creating temporary codes from a mobile application. Enough to allow any potential visitor to enter inside a predefined time slot.

SECURE ACCESS TO THE BUILDING

Somfy smart health connected Doorphone has a camera so the user can see the visitor requesting access to their health home. He can then open the portal remotely. When a code – permanent or ephemeral – is used, it is notified by means of a notification. "The installation of the product is simple to carry out, since it is smart health connected to a mains supply (230V) third like that of the gate", explains to The Digital Factory a spokesperson for the company, who specifies that its design was carried out by the QuaglioSimonelli studio. The device will be marketed in April 2020 at 500 euros. Promoters, such as Bouygues and Nexity, have already announced its implementation in several of their real estate projects.

In the same vein, Somfy revealed Door keeper. This engine should become, in 2021, "the first to embed a closure and intrusion detector". "The front door is the most sensitive point in terms of security, since half of the burglars would use it", says Somfy. The company integrated its IntelliTag technology, already used in alarm systems, into its smart health connected lock. Vibration sensors thus make it possible to detect any attempt at intrusion before the break-in … and, therefore, to better deter action.

From its application, the user checks whether his door is closed and, if necessary, locks it remotely in just three seconds. Again, it is possible to configure temporary or permanent codes. "This will become common due to the evolution of uses, which includes, for example, short-term rental on Airbnb type sites", points out a spokesperson. Designed by the Parisian Eliumstudio, the device is available in various colors to integrate harmoniously on all doors.

A BOX TO MANAGE THE ECOSYSTEM

Compatible with these new products like the rest of the ecosystem (alarms, roller shutters, garage doors, etc.), the box TaHoma allows the user to start their own scenarios. When it unlocks the door, the alarm can be deactivated and the shutters open simultaneously. It is also possible to order by voice using voice assistants from Amazon and Google.

TaHoma is at the heart of Somfy's smart health home strategy. "It makes a set of equipment interoperable, which communicate with the IO, RTS and ZigBee 3.0 protocols, to offer simplicity and freedom to the user", says the company, which will continue to add new compatibilities annually through its partnerships with other brands – this is, for example, already the case with Great or from Schneider Electric. Launch scheduled for fall 2020 for 199 euros.

According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), a health home should be ventilated at least twice ten minutes a day. In 2013, a study demonstrated that pollution can reach thresholds up to eight times higher than outside. "In reality, few people follow this advice, for fear of forgetting to close the window or because of the arduousness of the thing"says Somfy. To improve the quality of indoor air, the Frenchman imagined Control Air, a control which offers three modes of ventilation via the motorization of the windows. The "Air" position opens a sliding bay of a few centimeters, like a tilt-and-turn system, to prevent intrusions. The "Sensor" position measures temperature and humidity. Based on an algorithm predefined by the company, the window opens when a certain threshold is crossed and closes when the air is renewed. Finally, the "10" position simply automates its opening and closing. These different modes can be directly integrated into scenarios that can be activated via the TaHoma box.
