[CES] A collection of the Misfit Shine seen by Swarovski

[ad_1]

Since its birth on Kickstarter, Misfit has been content to ride the success of its activity sensor – the Shine – to seduce the whole world. Rather than seeking to improve the technique, the American start-up has obtained notable partnerships to sell its smart health connected bracelet. After her pink sensor in collaboration with Victoria’s Secret, here that he formalized at the CES a Swarovski collection for his Shine. And to be honest, it’s really very successful.

A solar charged sensor

In this Misfit by Swarovski collection, we therefore find two new activity sensors, one which will have a classic design with a crystal on top and which is already in pre-order in three different sets (Slake set, Piofiora set, Pendant set) for a price between $ 169 and $ 249. It is therefore slightly more expensive than the aluminum version which is confined to $ 99 (€ 99 at ehealth) but it remains largely understandable given the new standing of the Swarovski version. For this product, deliveries will take place from March 2015 but the pre-orders are already open on the site.

The classic version of Misfit Swarovski

The second sensor is distinguished by the fact that it can be recharged by solar energy thanks to a purple crystal. With only 10 to 15 minutes of sun exposure per day, the sensor would be able to recharge, and thus give it unlimited autonomy. However, no price or availability has leaked on this product. As with the traditional model, the user will be able to measure his physical activity, his sleep and will be able to display the time via an LED system. Needless to say, these new models will be as waterproof as the previous versions.

A set of 9 Misfit accessories by Swarovski

Misfit is reputed to be the accessories specialist expensive and it’s proven once again. In this partnership with the crystal maker, 9 new accessories such as bracelets or pendants are also sold. They are also available today for pre-order on the official website with prices ranging between $ 69 and $ 149 (knowing that the sensor costs him only $ 99 …) in three colors: gray, black and white. This is very reminiscent of the similar partnership set up between this same crystal maker and Samsung for its Gear S smart health connected watch strap. Please note that most of them are made of Alcantara leather and therefore cannot be used underwater. In any case, those who have an aluminum Misfit Shine can rest assured, these Swarovski accessories are also compatible!

The Swarovski pendant

In any case, this new partnership will continue to support Misfit's phenomenal growth worldwide. After raising $ 40 million recently to finance its expansion, particularly in Asia, the start-up took the opportunity to give some figures. In the 4th quarter of 2014, it was no less of a million of its sensors that have been shipped in more than 51 countries.

In an interview conducted a few weeks earlier, the CEO of Misfit had said that he was now looking to turn more ambitiously to health home automation. In the coming year, "several products" in this niche should be formalized.
