1 ts Vanilla

Burnt Sugar IcingPreparation

Caramelize 1/2 cupsugar. Add boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add butter, milk, salt, andremainder of sugar. Boil to soft ball stage (236 F). Cool to room temperature. Add flavoring. Beatuntil thick and creamy. Spread on cake.
