Ingredients
Forthe chicken:
900 g chicken
2large onions, peeled and quartered
2carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
2stalks celery, washed and finely chopped
1leek, washed and finely chopped, 2 bay leaves, 3.51 cold water
2cloves garlic, unpeeled and lightly crushed
1tsp. tablespoon peppercorns, stems of a bouquet of parsley
2-3slices of fresh ginger, peeled
Forthe soup:
1handful of Chinese cabbage leaves or spinach, cut into strips
1small carrot, peeled and cut into thin strips
18wonton, soy sauce, broth 300 ml
2-4small white onions, peeled and thinly sliced diagonally
Leavesbouquet of parsley, to garnish
Preparation Chinese food wonton soup
Arrangethe chicken cut into 6-8 pieces in a large pot of water with the ingredients ofchicken. Bring to a boil and remove several times the foam that forms on thesurface. Lower the heat and simmer gently 2 to 3 hours, removing the foam fromtime to time.
Passthe soup through a fine strainer, possibly lined with cheesecloth placed in alarge container. Let cool, then refrigerate 5-6 hours or overnight. Degreasethe broth first with a skimmer and then with a sheet of absorbent paperslightly past the liquid surface.
Boila pan of water. Add the wonton and heat to just below boiling point. Simmer 2-3minutes, stirring often. When the wonton is cooked, rinse with cold water,drain and set aside.
Bringquickly to a boil, remove the foam from the surface if necessary. Let theliquid cook 6-7 minutes at a rolling boil to reduce it slightly. Turn the heat.When the broth shuddered ajourez wonton and raw vegetables.
Seasonwith a few drops of soy sauce, gently cook for 3 minutes. Add the parsley andserve immediately.

1 c Coffee, Strong
6 c Flour, Sifted (Light)
4ts Baking Powder
2ts Baking Soda
3/4 c Oil
1/3 c Whiskey
1pn Salt, (In The Eggs)
1ts Nutmeg, (Or To Taste)
1ts Allspice, (Or To Taste)
1/2ts Cloves (Ground), (Or To
-Taste)
Cinnamon,To Taste
Walnuts,(about 1/2 cup)
GrandmasHoney Cake Preparation
Siftthe dry ingredients together. Beat eggs with salt. Add sugar & oiltogether. Beat well. Add honey. Mix well. Add coffee & whiskey. alternatelywith dry ingredients. Until all are incorporated. Add walnuts if desired,leaving a few to decorate the top of the cake. Pour into a greased, (brownpaper bag works fine) paper lined Baking Pan (Lasagna sized). Bake at 350degrees for 1 hour or more , until cake tests done when a toothpick inserted inthe center comes out clean.

1 c Sugar
1ts Baking powder
1/2 c Butter and lard
1ts Baking soda
1ea Egg
1ts Cinnamon
2 c Flour
1ts Cloves
1 c Raisins; chopped
1/4ts Salt
ApplesauceCookies Preparation
Dropfrom teaspoon. Note: Combine ingredients. THEN drop by teaspoonfuls ontogreased cookie sheets. Bake in 375 F.oven till done.
