Cleaning the Jade Roller – Anti-Aging

Cleaning the jade roller for home use

This is a question we often get. The process is very simple for those who use a jade face roller at home. The instructions below can equally be applied to a jade roller, Rose Quartz Roller or any other real crystal roller

After each treatment, spray the roller with either an isopropyl alcohol spray or a Colloidal SilverYes, as both kill 99.99% of bacteria. Allow the Jade Roller to dry and then place it back in its silk case for safekeeping before the next treatment.

Just before using the Jade Roller again, it’s worth spraying the crystal tools again to ensure no bacteria has stuck to the tools prior to treatment.

Real silk is actually antibacterial so this last step is especially important if you are not storing the jade roller in a silk box or are unsure if the silk used is real. If you spray the Jade Roller with isopropyl alcohol again before use, it is important to allow the alcohol time to evaporate otherwise it can dry out the skin. For this reason the Colloidal Silver Spray is often preferable to isopropyl alcohol.

If you’re using the Jade Roller with a thick cream that tends to stick to the roller, then better invest in a Jade Roller like the Anti-Aging Jade Roller, which uses thicker, blunt brass clamps to hold the roller head. This allows the head to be removed for cleaning if necessary. The heads can then be washed with dish soap and water. It is better not to wash the jade roller brackets in water, because they will eventually corrode.

This step can be done right after use, before applying colloidal silver or isopropyl alcohol.

A brief summary of the process is included below.

  1. Spray the jade roller with colloidal silver or isopropyl alcohol.

  2. Let it dry and return to the silk-lined box

  3. Spray again with colloidal silver or isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry before use.

Cleaning the jade roller in the clinicIf you are using the Jade Roller in the clinic and plan to reuse the roller on different clients, the same instructions as for the home user with additional steps should be applied. When the Jade Rollers are used in the clinic and on different individuals, it is often advisable to add the use of a UV sanitizer to the process as a second step to ensure maximum hygiene for your clients.

It is important to note – If you are using the scooter in the clinic after an invasive procedure that may produce blood, the scooters should never be shared or used with other clients. It may be better in this case to include the jade roller in the price of the treatment and allow the client to keep the roller at home for aftercare.
