Control your Dacor smart health connected oven by voice

A smart health connected oven, did you dream of it? Dacor did it with the Discovery iQ oven. But the brand goes even further and now offers us to control it by voice.

Dacor's Discovery iQ smart health connected oven is clocked at 1 GHz, with 512 MB of DDR2 RAM and runs on Android 4.0.3. At CES 2015, the company therefore adds voice to its application on smartphones and tablets. Well, calm down, all this is not cheap because the advertised base price is $ 8,999.

If the current application offers a remote control function for the temperature, the cooking mode or the lamps of the ovens and recipes, this new functionality makes it possible to avoid and dirty the buttons on your oven by touching it… better dirty the screen of your phone … provided that the oven and your terminal are on the same Wifi network.

Said feature is not as powerful as Siri: it only offers keywords for the cooking mode, temperature, time and actions to perform. For those who are already familiar with Dacor ovens, this remote voice command will therefore be useful.

Old and new customers will be able to use this voice command in the spring of 2015.
