Control your health with the Qloudlab Scepter!

In a previous article, we talked about how technology would revolutionize medicine. The Qloudlab “Scepter” clearly fits into this category. The device could regularly send doctors valuable information about the health of their patients.

The Swiss startup has imagined a smart health smart health connected object, with an analysis system giving the possibility to a healthcare professional or even a patient to monitoring their health. Initially, the system analyzed a drop of blood on the screen of a smartphone, protected by a special film, in order to relay the information collected to the doctor. Scepter is now responsible for assisting the patient as much as possible. In addition to blood tests, the device is able to analyze the urine of its user thanks to removable modules.

For example, inserting a tongue into the base where a drop of blood has been applied, Scepter will take care of combing it, before quickly communicating the results in Bluetooth to the smartphone. These can then be sent from the laptop, on a cloud and the doctor in charge of the patient.

More than a gadget, with Scepter, Qloudlab wants to provide a tool smart enough to give individuals without medical knowledge the way to follow the evolution of their health. The rapid results delivered by the device are intended to save time and speed up decision-making concerning the continuation of a treatment. Last June, the device was in the certification phase at the Center Hospitalier Universitaire com Vaudois, where tests targeting lipids were to see certification in laboratories.

If Scepter proves successful, it could go on sale early next year. At first, the device is intended for the medical field and maybe could later open to the general public, Wishing to monitoring the development of their cholesterol for example.
