Creation of the Association of Telemedicine Companies Ehealth innovation

A new association to promote and contribute to the deployment of telemedicine in France has emerged. Presentation.
The LET association was created on the initiative of some twenty companies involved in telemedicine, and more particularly in teleconsultation. The objective: to support the development of telemedicine in France with patients, health professionals and public authorities.
The ambition of the association is to contribute to the deployment of a distance medicine accessible to all, at the same time ethical, efficient and complementary to face-to-face medicine through the sharing of experiences and the cooperation of all stakeholders of the sector. The primary objectives of the association are to contribute to:
Participate in a concerted response to access to healthcare issues
Promote and encourage the uses of telemedicine through information and training for all stakeholders (patients and health professionals)
Provide practical lighting and improve knowledge of the sector by sharing useful data
Establish and have adopted a charter of quality and ethics by LET members
"Our main motivation is to contribute to the development of telemedicine so that it becomes, in France as in many other European countries, an element of concrete and efficient response to a problem of medical demography and access to care" says François Lescure, President of the LET association.
The first General Assembly for the creation of the association “Telemedicine Companies (LET)”Took place on January 23, 2019. At the end of this meeting, an election made it possible to appoint the first office composed of Dr Maxime Cauterman (Livi), Dr Fanny Jacq (DoctoConsult), Marie-Laure Saillard (MesDocteurs), Nicolas Wolikow (Qare) and François Lescure (MédecinDirect) who was elected President.
