Dr. David Sinclair’s Supplement Stack and Longevity Strategy

David Sinclair supplement aims to reduce the effects of ageing. It activates a protein called sirtuin which has the capability to regulate the aging process.

David Sinclair, a leading professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School, said that NMN Supplement could be “the best way to slow ageing”. He also said that it can stop or reverse some major age-related diseases like diabetes, cancer, heart disease etc. This is because it slows down the aging process by turning off genes that are responsible for these diseases which means the body’s immune system will not be attacking itself anymore allowing cells to regenerate instead of being permanently damaged by inflammation.Dr. Sinclair recently conducted a study which demonstrated that resveratrol can activate sirtuins in our cells- sirtuins are involved in regulating an organism’s response to stress and maintaining healthy aging.

David Sinclair’s Supplement Stack

Be aware that Dr. David Sinclair has argued that no supplementary product or brand is promoted or endorsed. The book “Why We Age – and Why Do We Don’t Do To” (page 304), and many of his interviews, took the list. It is unknown whether he is still taking such pills or taking other supplements not on the list.

NMN 1 g (1,000 mg) and resveratol 0.5 g (500 mg) every morning. He also combines this to make it more bioavailable with his home-made yogurt.

With relation to NMN and Resveratrol, David says that the main impacts of the sirtuin genes are molecules. “Resveratrol can be considered as a sirtuin-gene accelerator pedal and NMN as a fuel. Resveratrol steps on the sirtuin enzyme accelerator pedal, but you need the resveratrol fuel (NMN) to work.”

TMG (trimethylglycine)

TMG is used to protect against the loss of too many methyl groups. When NMN, also known as nicotinamide or NAM, is in excess, the body methylates it and excretes it in the urine, potentially depleting cells of methyl groups. Creatine and dopamin are synthesized with the help of methyl groups.

Diet of David Sinclair

Sinclair avoids breakfast and lunch on most days and tries to eat only one meal per day, a sort of intermittent fasting that promotes autophagy known as the “One Meal a Day” diet or OMAD diet.

Autophagy is the body’s process of removing defective or damaged cells so that younger, healthier ones can regenerate. The words “autophagy” and “auto” signify “self” and “eat” respectively. So autophagy literally means “self-eating,” comparable to turning on a self-cleaning oven, only the garbage is recycled throughout the body instead of being burned off.

David Sinclair’s Exercise Routine

Run at a reasonably high intensity 1-2 times each week. Rather than being strong, his goal in training is to keep healthy and mentally bright.

A U-shaped Assault Treadmill is used by both he and Joe Rogan.

He’ll also box and lift weights a couple of times a week.

David uses a sauna in conjunction with a cold bath on a regular basis.

Joe proposes switching from the sauna to cryotherapy (apparently there’s one near the studio).

Joe claims that he usually remains in for 3 minutes, then takes a 10-minute rest before returning for another 3 minutes.

Other Longevity Strategies by David Sinclair

He doesn’t smoke and tries to stay away from plastic that has been microwaved.

Excessive UV exposure, X-rays, and CT scans are avoided. X-ray scanners, according to Sinclair, “alter the epigenome.” Your genome is made up of your DNA and genes. The epigenome is responsible for regulating and reading those genes at the appropriate times. “What I believe is causing aging is not the loss of digital information (genes/DNA), but the reader (epigenome),” Sinclair says. As a result, as we get older, our cells lose the ability to read the proper genes the way they could when we were younger.

In a nutshell, x-rays accumulate over time and act as minor “scratches” on the DNA/chromosome. The body’s capacity to read the proper gene at the right spot is disrupted when these “scratches” are repaired (aka the epigenome).

David’s sleep quality has substantially improved after he started using blue light filtering glasses a few hours before bed.

Other companies are working on cooling technology, which is at the same stage of development. Some companies use third-party one-to-one testing for their products, including resveratrol, to sell and ensure consistent batch purity. If the NAD + boosters are safe, they will enter Phase II and then Phase III efficacy studies next year.

As for science, Sinclair predicts that the latest leap forward will be when we put molecules into clinical trials, a relatively new phenomenon in the pharmaceutical industry. Antibiotics have changed medicine, he says, and it’s only a matter of time to find a cure for aging.

David Andrew Sinclair is co-founder of several biotech companies including Sirtris Pharmaceuticals, Genocea Biosciences, Ovascience, Cohbar, Metrobiotech, ArcBio, Liberty Biosecurity Board and several others, as well as Shaklee. He has advised China on how economic growth and a healthy population overlap. In a video titled “David Sinclair, Professor at Harvard University: Beating Aging and Living Longer” on Modern Wisdom Podcast 343, Sinclair talks about the supplements he incorporates into his diet and exercise routine.

Unlike other companies, Sinclair conducted its research through the arduous approval process and clinical trials of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and if successful, it would be sold not as a supplement, but as a medicine prescribed by a doctor. Sinclair is the inventor of the name and patent license for the Harvard-Mayo Clinic Elysium. One of his companies Metrobiotech has filed patents related to nicotinamide, which he says he will take with him.

It is not known exactly what David Sinclair, a professor at Harvard University, is taking, what supplements he is taking, or whether he is taking other supplements that are not listed.

He mixes this with his homemade yogurt to make it more biologically available. With regard to NMN (resveratrol), he says that it is a molecule that mimics the effects of the sirtuin gene.

For example, in Professor David Sinclair’s lifespan book, he mentions on page 304 that he takes Resveratrol morning mixed with his yoghurt. On page 304 of David David David’s book Lifespans he also mentions the intake of vitamin D3. So when David tries to get all the vitamins and minerals he needs in his diet, he takes vitamins.

It is interesting to know that David Sinclair takes some, but not all, of the much-vaunted supplements. He takes some statins (not dietary supplements) but these are prescription drugs that modulate lipid (cholesterol) levels.

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) has shown increasing levels in animal experiments and interest in this food supplement is increasing. Studies have shown no obvious side effects when taking nicotinamide supplements at recommended dosages.

Of the above-mentioned supplements, the use of resveratrol or NAD + precursors (as opposed to NRM, vitamin K2 or vitamin D) looks interesting, but I would wait for clinical data to be available before including NRM in the protocol. NRM’s delivery method can change the effect you feel, the effectiveness, the side effect profile and the price.

We will look at his diet, exercise and lifestyle choices in detail with NR, Resveratrol and Metformin. I have noted the work of David Sinclairs and am interested in maximizing longevity and vitality by incorporating some of his daily supplements into my own routine, which I do not currently use. We will look at the 3 longevity supplements David takes: Resver Atrol, Metformin and NR.

Renowned geneticist David Sinclair of Harvard University says his daily program involves taking in molecules that his own research has shown to improve health and extend the lifespan of mice.

But just because there is a family history of high cholesterol and he is taking statins does not mean you need an anti-ageing supplement. Sinclair describes himself in LinkedIn bio- and media interviews as taking resveratrol, the diabetes drug metformin, which has promise for slowing ageing, and nicotinamide, a substance known from his own research that has been shown to rejuvenate mice. Anti-aging doctors have been taking resversatrol for 12 years and metformin for 3 years.

In longevity circles, David Andrew Sinclair is known to support resveratrol, one of the substances found in red wine supplements to slow down the aging process. Resveratroll is a natural product that increases the activity of sirtuin. One of our favourite aged experts Dr David Sinclair is one of those who discovered that red wine molecules such as Resver Atrol increase sirtuin activity in a similar way to the calorie restriction.

Sinclair’s third food supplement in the form of vitamin B3 converts NAD + to NAD + through a series of chemical interactions and NAD + in turn is an important fuel for the striatosomes.

NNM has been shown to slow down many aspects of aging in animals studied (R & R, R & R, R & R). Supplementation with exogenous NAD + precursors increases the level of young adult health, and it is believed that maintaining healthy cells and functions in the body in old age can reduce the incidence of illness, degradation and quality of life. Years of research in the Sinclairs Laboratory have shown that feeding mice with NMN and A precursors, which the body turns into NAD + to slow the aging of mice, mimics the effects of calorie restriction.

The NAD + – precursor that is currently on the market as dietary supplement nicotinamide riboside (NR) is marketed by the New York-based Elysium Health founded by MIT biologist Leonard Guarente, PhD 79, who played a central role as a Sinclairs doctoral student in establishing the link between sirtuin and aging. Together with Sinclair, he founded a company called Elysium, which sells a daily supplement called Basis, which costs $50 a month.

The third supplement that Sinclair has taken has generated a lot of enthusiasm in longevity circles. Tissue concentrations of NAD + are increased by calorie restriction and supplementation with NAD + precursors such as NR.
