[ad_1]

Which digital health developments will play a role for doctors and patients in 2017? We've identified the key digital health trends of the year.

As in the previous year, telemedicine is again one of the digital health trends of the year in 2017. The State Medical Association of Baden-Württemberg will in future be able to offer model projects for innovative patient care, in which doctors treat their patients exclusively via communication networks. The e-health law is also advancing telemedicine in Germany. For example, the ehealth consultation hour will be included in the regular medical care from July 1, 2017. So far, there have been pilot projects with two major health insurance companies using the Patientus ehealth consultation platform. This has been part of Jameda GmbH since the beginning of 2017, which as part of the Burda Group offers online doctor search and online appointment booking.

Telemedicine and online consultation hours

Like the digital trade magazine t3n with reference to the industry association Bitkom, telemedicine will be an important component in health care in the future. 70 percent of the industry experts surveyed indicated that ehealth consulting hours in particular are gaining in importance. In another study, Bitkom Research asked patients about the same topic. With the result that 33 percent would be interested in an online consultation with their doctor.

Chatbots and artificial intelligence

In the future, patients will receive answers to their health-related questions from a chatbot. This provides quick and easy information about the symptoms of the disease, treatment options and much more with the appropriate health information. Offers of information checked by doctors are on the rise and with Your.MD is also the first chatbot for personalized health information on the English-speaking market.
