Discover Foobot, the smart health smart health connected object that analyzes your air!
Volatile organic compounds, fine particles, toxic fumes … There are many harmful products present in our indoor environment. A young start-up, Airboxlab, provides the solution: Foobot, the smart health smart health connected object which analyzes the quality of the ambient air in real time.
The smart health smart health connected object that continuously scans your air
Foobot is riding the wave of smart health connected objects dedicated to health, available to the general public. The pollution present in the atmosphere of our habitat promotes the development or aggravation of several pathologies, such as asthma or allergies.
Footbot has a set of sensors that allow it to measure the quality of your air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just place it in a corner of the living room and it does the rest:
It constantly checks the chemical components that may emanate from household products, furniture or electronic devices.
It immediately detects particles suspended in the air, usually the cause of allergies.
It indicates the optimum temperatures and humidity levels.
It performs constant monitoring of chemical components which may emanate from household products, furniture or electronic devices.

Multi-level action
The smart health smart health connected object created by Jacques Touillon and Inouk Bourgon does not only tell you when to renew your look. Thanks to its multitude of sensors, Foobot is able to locate the sources of pollution to tell you whether you’re the source or not. Human activities, such as ironing, cooking or cleaning, can produce many pollutants. In addition, Foobot records your personal data daily on a secure server to provide you with appropriate advice. Indeed, the device invites you to modify some of your behaviors, in order to guarantee the quality of your air (open windows, move furniture, favor certain products rather than others etc.)
A device that prompts you to change air
An application compatible with PC, Android and IOS was developed in parallel with Foobot. The latter allows you to have instant access to all the measurements, data and indications provided by the device. Always with a view to supporting its users, Foobot performs preventive actions. It warns you especially as soon as a pollution peak is felt for example, and then tells you what to do to avoid it.
It is also retroactive, that is, it takes into account your past and current data, to adapt to your type of environment. By registering your profile, it can thus provide personalized advice for each user.
Other innovations underway
The start-up Airboxlab still has several tricks in its bag. Foobot extensions are currently under development. In particular an order for control of ventilation and air purification systems. And this, always in order to guarantee a healthy indoor air and free from any pollutant.
As a reminder, the Foobot, a smart health smart health connected object relating to air treatment, will be sold at the price of 199 euros. This rate includes full access to all the services offered by device (application, secure server, and box).
A service which only aims to inform you
The only downside that we could blame Foobot for is to do no other action, apart from informing you about the characteristics of the ambient air. It is not the first smart health smart health connected object on the market to deal with this topic. We are thinking in particular of the Leaf from the Swiss company Vigilant. In addition to the analysis functions comparable to that of Foobot, the Leaf purifies your air thanks to high-tech filters (anti-pollutants, dust, allergens etc.). Admittedly its price remains much higher than that of Foobot (359 € for the entry-level model), but it must be said that the service rendered is more interesting. In short, the Foobot has, for now, that vocation to inform you on your tune. Others on the market are doing much more, with superior service. Up to you.
