Dolby sound and temperature sensor

The new Amazon Echo Plus offers two advantages that this device did not have: a temperature sensor and Dolby speakers.

Similar to other updated Echo devices, the new Amazon Echo Plus will therefore offer an improved sound experience. According to Amazon, the Echo Plus is "powered by Dolby speakers to deliver 360-degree sound with crisp voices and dynamic bass response." An improvement that will not be a luxury given the proposed by the previous model.

However, the most interesting part of the new Amazon Echo Plus is its integrated temperature sensor. The new model also includes an integrated Zigbee hub, making it easy to configure and control your compatible smart devices. You'll be able to set up your smart health home without a separate hub and ask Alexa to control all of your Zigbee-compatible lights, sockets, and other smart devices. Your old Zigbee health home automation system still has a bright future ahead of it.

Of course, you can also ask Alexa to perform other tasks, such as listening to music, calling or sending messages; but also read information, consult weather forecasts, set alarms and timers, etc. The Alexa app even adds Skype support. And with seven microphones, beamforming technology and noise canceling, Amazon said the new Echo Plus should be able to hear you in all directions, even while playing music.

Personally, I like the Echo Plus. Partly because it offers good value for money compared to the original Echo. The all-new Amazon Echo Plus costs $ 149.99 in the United States. It is available for pre-order today and will be shipped next month.
