Dreem 2: the headband dedicated to sleep comes in a new version
[ad_1]
Two years after the launch of its first smart health connected headband, the brand dedicated to sleep comes back with Dreem 2.
The French sleep badly. In 2019, 16% report chronic insomnia, while 25% of 25-34 year olds complain of daytime sleepiness related to poor sleep quality. With this in mind, and two years after the launch of its first model, Dreem launches Dreem 2, its new smart health connected headband designed to sleep better.
"Our ambition is to develop tools and technologies capable of helping people suffering from sleep disorders, in a non-invasive, effective and accessible way " – Hugo Mercier, President and co-founder of Dreem.
Comes with a starter guide, a charging cable and several elastics to best adapt to the user's head circumference, Dreem 2 integrates six EEG sensors (Eelectroencephalogram) at the front and back, a pulse oximeter, an accelerometer, a touchpad with LED indicator, and a 1200 mAh battery that allows it to hold up to 12 hours. The entire helmet is covered with fabric for comfort, and weighs around 130g. An application is available on iOS and Android.
Unlike sleeping pills and other drugs, Dreem 2 combines behavioral science with neurotechnology, to propose a non-invasive solution, based in particular on the transmission of sound signals by bone conduction during the night. After collecting and analyzing the user data, the smart health connected banner proposes an adapted solution, based on Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The startup promises to regain quality sleep in just a few weeks. Regarding its price, Dreem 2 is available in for 399 €, € 100 less than its predecessor at the time of its launch in 2017.
