DREEM, the Headband that improves deep sleep

[ad_1]

DREEM is a headband that aims to improve deep sleep. This product made in France was created by two Polytechnic students, Quentin Soulet com Brugière and Hugo Mercier.

How it works ?

With algorithms and electronic sensors, the banner will analyze the electrical activity of the brain, the electroencephalogram. It will also stimulate it to allow you to sleep less, but more deeply, and therefore improve sleep quality.

Indeed, deep sleep provides many benefits:

  • memory consolidation,

  • cell regeneration.

  • decreased feeling of tiredness

  • increased cognitive ability

Conversely, a lack of deep sleep can lead to:

  • memory problems

  • lack of focus

  • lack of judgment.

Something to take sleep seriously!

Improve deep sleep with DREEM

The banner will be accompanied by a iPhone app which will allow the user to follow increasing the quality of his night's sleep and improving his cognitive performance.

The future of DREEM

Supervised by neuroscience researchers from the Institute of the Brain and Spinal Cord and sleep physicians from Pitié Salpêtrière, the team of 12 people also intends to discover if there are correlations between deep sleep and certain diseases like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's or obesity. For this, the DREEM team wishes to analyze the data collected anonymously by the banner.

If the object is still in the state of prototype, it seems destined for a bright future. It may well have its place in the top 5 smart health connected objects for your sleep. Launched only 10 months ago, the start-up is one of the winners of the 2030 global innovation competition and won the 2014 Innovation Grand Prize. The team counts market its product in 2016.
