Echo Amazon expands voice control to Spotify and Pandora

Echo, Amazon’s voice-activated speaker, has just received an update that lets you use your voice to use iTunes, Pandora, or Spotify on your mobile device.

Echo is a speaker that aims to one day drive your smart health home. It's a bit like Siri, Google or Cortana … but in a speaker. The audio accessory is smart health connected to the cloud via WiFi. Seven microphones are positioned around the top of the speaker.

So much for the reminder of what Echo is. After its launch, or at least Amazon’s invitation, the customers who bought it were a little disappointed with its compatibility and functionality. But loudly, this update allows customers to control more multimedia applications by voice. Now iTunes, Pandora and Spotify can also be voice controlled on your mobile device.

At the moment, it’s not super-sophisticated, but you won’t have to use your phone to jump from song to song. Currently, Amazon Echo is not available in France but it is not worse, maybe we will have the right to a product a little more successful because for the moment, with all the products that arrive on the market, this speaker is very poor and will really have trouble finding its place in a smarthome.
